The Jones River Village Historical Society works to collect, preserve and educate the public about the history of the Town of Kingston. It makes its collections accessible through exhibitions, research assistance,educational programs and lectures. It also preserves, protects and maintains the Society’s Headquarters, the Major John Bradford Homestead and other possessions.
Housed in an early 1800s tavern, the Kingman Tavern Museum facility consists of a furnished house and several outbuildings housing over 5000 artifacts depicting Cummington history from the late 1700s to the mid-1900s.
