The Commonwealth Historical Collaborative provides unified access to information about Massachusetts-based historical societies and libraries in Massachusetts that care for materials of historical and cultural value. Convened by the State Historic Records Advisory Board, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and the Department of Special Collections at UMass Amherst, and supported by funding from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission, the CHC also fosters cooperation among its members in stewardship, outreach, professional development, and research access.
