Membership:

The Friends of the Goodwin Memorial Library is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization which exists to provide extra support to the town library. Friends groups represent citizen participation and assistance in the activities and programs of the library.

The Goodwin Friends group hosts raffles, book and bake sales, and other fundraisers, and it provides volunteers for special projects at the library. Each year, the Friends holds its annual March Membership drive to raise awareness and funds to enhance library services. The Friends group provides refreshments for many library programs (such as the annual Holiday Open House) and it helps stretch the library’s budget through special purchases (such as the outside Book Drop) and program support.

The Friends group meets monthly from September through June on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. New members are always welcome. Membership applications are available at the Goodwin.
