The records in this collection document the administrative, financial, and regular activities of the Evangelical Congregational Church, which was formed after the first Congregational Church split into two separate churches in 1834. Genealogists will especially be interested in the financial records (Series 2), which include property assessments of church members, and membership records (Series 5), which provide valuable information about the movement of church members into and out of Westborough.
