Scope and Content: The Board of Gas Commissioners, established in 1888, was renamed the Board of Gas and Electric Light Commissioners in 1889. That body was abolished in 1919, when its functions were combined with those of the Public Service Commission in the Department of Public Utilities.

Scope and Content: The Board of Registration in Medicine, established in 1894, was placed within the Department of Civil Service and Registration (Division of Registration) in 1919. It was replaced by the Board of Registration and Discipline in Medicine in 1975, renamed the Board of Registration in Medicine again in 1979.
