Scope and Content: The Psychopathic Department of Boston State Hospital was established by Massachusetts in 1912. It became Boston Psychopathic Hospital in 1920; that was renamed Massachusetts Mental Health Center in 1956.

Scope and Content: The Water Division of the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) was responsible for both the adequacy of supply and the purity of water provided to the Metropolitan Water District (Boston and surrounding communities). For this purpose, the division was empowered to construct, operate, and maintain reservoirs, aqueducts, and other waterworks (GL 1932 (Ter Ed) c 92, s 10 et seq.). Unpublished annual reports were submitted by units within the division to its director, to inform him of the year’s activities.

Scope and Content: The Minimum Wage Commission was established in 1912. It was continued as part of the Division of Minimum Wage in the Dept. of Labor and Industries in 1919. The Minimum Wage Commission was placed in the Dept. of Public Health in 1936. It was replaced in the Department of Labor and Industries in 1937; by 1939 it was again administered by a Division of Minimum Wage, which continued after the commission was abolished in 1973.
