Scope and Content: The adjutant general of the Commonwealth, as executive administrator of the state’s Military Establishment, is responsible for coordinating information and directives both within the Military Establishment and between it and other jurisdictions.  This series of incoming correspondence relates to administration of the state militia during the last year of the Civil War.
