Scope and Content: The Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) is responsible for oversight of functions relating to the metropolitan park, water, and sewerage districts, consisting of Boston and surrounding communities.  In preparation for the 1930 Massachusetts Bay Colony Tercentenary Exposition (arranged by the Tercentenary Commission on Massachusetts Governmental Activities), the MDC took aerial photographs for an exhibit highlighting the work of the agency.
