Scope and Content: The adjutant general of the Commonwealth, as executive administrator of the state’s Military Establishment, has general superintendency over military stores and property.  Pursuant to St 1843, c 29 the governor appointed a two-member commission to survey ordnance stores, muskets, and other military equipment held in the state arsenals at Boston and Cambridge.  Consisting of Thomas Warner and Rufus Chandler, the commission returned this report as of May 31, 1843.
