Dashwood home
Founded in 2003, the Dashwood Historical Society documents the lives of the Dashwood family and their extended, and extensive, kin. The Society is located in historic downtown New Salem, a western outpost of the greater Quabbin metropolitan region. The centerpiece of the DHS are the papers of distinguished historian I. Eliot Wentworth, the three Dashwood sisters: the pathbreaking molecular evolutionary biology N. Eleanor Dashwood, the theoretical astrophysicist Marianne Dashwood, and archaeologist Margaret Dashwood.
