Welcome! Plainfield is one of the hill towns of Western Massachusetts, located on the eastern slopes of the Berkshires, home to about 600 people. The Plainfield Historical Society is pleased to share some items from our collections with you here. We hold most of our collections in the Shaw Hudson House in Plainfield. As we are in the process of organizing and cataloguing them, we do not have regular opening hours.

For more information, please have a look at our website, where some of the photographs in our collections are on display, and you will find oral histories and links to articles and books about Plainfield history.
